It is the ideal product for general-purpose applications, such as items not subjected to critical operating conditions: small boats, automotive bodywork, engine casings, and agricultural tanks.

It performs two specific functions:

1) It protects against weathering, UV rays, and, in certain cases, chemicals. Without the gelcoat, the glass, once exposed at the surface, facilitates the entry of water and all chemical agents through capillary action.

2) It provides the reinforced plastic with a continuous, smooth, and colored surface finish.
